December 2010 - Today

Since October things have been flying, been everywhere between Swaziland and Cape Town! Band members have left following their own dreams, and new ones have joined sharing ours! We welcome

Stuart Goodwin (electric guitar), Eben Groenewald (drums) and Nico Badenhorst (bass) officially into

the Liezel Marshall Band.

Things to remember from 2010 are the Huisgenoot/Tempo Awards, with Liezel's song "Ek Onthou" being chosen as one of the top 10 new songs of 2010, Liezel and me coming in 2nd in the Takamine Acoustic Songwriting Competition (hey, you try getting a hundred people from Pretoria to Johannesburg on a Sunday afternoon). Winning the Birchleigh Battle of the Bands (prizes remain to be given...), coming in the Top 3 of the RBF Emerging Sounds Competition (out of 85 bands that have entered), and coming in the Top 10 of the KFC Sessions (out of more than a hundred bands from across South Africa).

Joining WONDERboom and Evolver One on their Gauteng leg of their tour was an awesome experience, to see these amazing bands in action, each night with the same energy and showmanship as the previous, opened our eyes to what it means to play with the "big dogs"

Then starting our debut album - which has not been given a title as of yet - and which is still in the recording process...
